General Nano’s Veelo BLAC™ will Travel to Space on NASA’s CubeSat

Understanding earth science is important for current and future generations. A global aerospace and defense prime contractor is developing a Compact Infrared Radiometer in Space (CIRiS) for deployment on a CubeSat that is enabled by General Nano’s Veelo BLAC™ technology. The CubeSat will be used by NASA to measure climate change. Veelo BLAC™, a super-black material that absorbs more than 99.6 percent of light, will be integrated into the satellite manufacturer’s CIRiS instrumentation.
