Understanding earth science is important for current and future generations. A global aerospace and defense prime contractor is developing a Compact Infrared Radiometer in Space (CIRiS) for deployment on a CubeSat that is enabled by General Nano’s Veelo BLAC™ technology. The CubeSat will be used by NASA to measure climate change. Veelo BLAC™, a super-black material that absorbs more than 99.6 percent of light, will be integrated into the satellite manufacturer’s CIRiS instrumentation. Learn more about the CIRiS project by reading Growing Cincinnati Firm Sending World's Darkest Material Into Space.
